The Hudson Valley women's basketball team (19-5) dropped a hard-fought match 74-64 to North Country in the Vikings final home game of the regular season.

Prior to the game, the Vikings honored their five graduating members, Hannah Kreiger (Brunswich/Tamarac), Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central), Melpomeni Doutsis (Albany/Albany), Christina Wright (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) and Hayley Jones (Catskill/Catskill). The quintet has had a tremendous impact on the recent success of the women's basketball program and have posted a 37-15 record in the last two seasons, including a program-best 13-game win streak earlier this year.

Kreiger led all Vikings scorers with 16 points as she was one of two Vikings to reach double-digit scoring in tonight's loss. She also connected on three, three-point field goals and for 3-for-4 from the free throw line. Hannah currently ranked third on the Vikings all-time scoring list with 830 points.

Malainah Elliott (Utica/Thomas R. Proctor) also reached double-figures as she finished with 11 points, including 5-for-6 from the free throw line. Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) scored nine points, which included seven straight points in the fourth quarter.

Hudson Valley is on the road this Wednesday, February 20 when they play Fulton-Montgomery at 5 p.m.
