The Hudson Valley Community College women's cross country team finished sixth out of eight teams at the NJCAA region III championships hosted by SUNY Delhi.
Sophomore Sarah Popovics (Gorham, ME/Gorham High School) earned All-Region recognition for the Lady Vikings for her ninth place finish out of 51 runners. She covered the rain-soaked 5,000-meter course in 22:42. Freshman Malerie Tillman (Nassau/Columbia High School) finished 12th in 22:58 and sophomore Kalynn Wren (Salem/Salem high School) was 14th in 23:13.
Erie's Anna Bogdanets won the race in 20:44.
