Devin Kipp ('19), Elijah Washington ('19), Holden Maynard ('19), Jared Craw ('19), and Alayna Fredenburg ('18) post-graduation from Hudson Valley have continued to be key components to their teams' success. Kipp, Washington, and Fredenburg are all teammates at Brockport State, while Maynard competes for Sage College and Craw competes for SUNY Cobleskill.

This past weekend, Kipp, Washington, and Fredenburg competed in the SUNYAC Track & Field Championships hosted by SUNY Cortland. Devin Kipp was named the Male Athlete of the Meet after he finished first place in the discus, and a pair of fourth place finishes in the 100m & 200m events. Devin's throw of 48.94m was a personal best that catapulted him to 16th place in the NCAA Division lll Leaderboard. Kipp's time in the 100m was also a personal best, and the 200m was a season best.

Teammate Elijah Washington finished in second place in the hammer throw, fourth in the shot put, and fifth place in the javelin throw. Currently Elijah is ranked 31st in NCAA Division lll in the hammer throw with a mark of 53.84m.

Alayna Fredenburg has been on a tear in the weeks leading up to Championship Season. Alayna scored in all three events that she was entered, a pair of first place finishes in the hammer and javelin throws on day one and a fifth-place finish on day two in the shot put. In the Division lll rankings Alayna is currently ranked 12th in the hammer throw (52.46m) and 26th in the javelin (39.10m).

Holden Maynard competed in the Empire 8 Championships held at St. John Fisher College. Holden finished with a new personal best in the 10k event with a time of 33:48.83 and finished in seventh place. This is the fourth weekend in a row that Holden has a set a new personal best in the events he competed in.

SUNY Cobleskill does not have a conference championship, but on the same day as his former teammates, Jared Craw set a new college best in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:07.27.

Congratulations to all of our former Vikings student-athletes and the best of luck to all of the athletes in the upcoming weeks.
