The Hudson Valley Community College men's lacrosse (2-0) team earned a tough 6-4 win in comeback fashion over Ocean County today in Toms River, NJ. 

The No. 10 ranked Vikings started off slow and they trailed 2-0 early in the first half, but Hudson Valley fought back and entered the break trailing Ocean County 3-2.

Hudson Valley's offense, led by sophomores Darren Nagy (Saugerties/Saugerties) and Nathan Bruce (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville), came to life in the second half and scored four unanswered goals for the 6-3 advantage. Ocean County scored their final goal of the game late in the fourth quarter to cut into Hudson Valley's lead.

Nagy finished the game with a team-high three goals and Bruce tallied a pair of Vikings goals. John Lawlor (Colonie/Colonie) also found the back of the net for his only goal of the game and Nicholas Malatesta (North Greenbush/Averill Park) recorded two assists.

Goalkeeper Trevor Ham (Kingston/Kingston) faced 15 shots and recorded 11 saves as he recorded his second win of the season. 

The Vikings men's lacrosse program continues their road trip tomorrow as they travel to play No. 10 Mercer County tomorrow at 1 p.m. in West Windsor, NJ.
