Hudson Valley Community College men's lacrosse (6-3) extended its win streak to three games after defeating Mohawk Valley 26-1 on Wednesday night at the Vikings Outdoor Athletic Complex in Troy, N.Y.

The Vikings scored early and often as they jumped out a 10-0 lead after the first quarter. Nathan Bruce (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) and Aaron Thorpe (Malta/Ballston Spa) found their way in front of the net several times as Bruce scored three goals and assisted on two more in the first quarter. Thorpe scored three times as well and added three assists in the opening period for the Vikings.

Bruce finished the game with seven total goals and two assists for nine total points. Thorpe finished with a career high 10 goals and added seven assists for a new career best 17 points in a single game.

Christopher Calicchia (Loudonville/Shaker) had a career night as he added three points with two goals and one assists for the Vikings.

The Vikings are home again this Saturday, April 14 as they welcome Brookdale to Troy, N.Y. The game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Vikings Outdoor Athletic Complex.
