Golf Finished Fourth at Herkimer Invitational

The Hudson Valley Community College golf program participated in the 2019 Generals Invitational, hosted by Herkimer on Saturday, April 20 at the Mohawk Valley Country Club in Little Falls, NY. The Vikings finished fourth with a final score of 338.

All four of the Vikings golfers recorded a qualifying mark for the NJCAA Region 3 tournament. Nathan Fankhanel (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) led the way for the Vikings with a team-best score of 81. Followed by Cole Stannard (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens) and Nick Schrowang (Catskill/Catskill). Stannard finished with an 83 and Schrowang recorded an 85.   

Anthony Bisognano (Colonie/Colonie) rounds out the scoring for Hudson Valley as he finished the 18-hole tournament with an 89 

Omsalama Ayoub(Albany/Doane Stuart) continues to show improvement as she recorded a career best 160 for the Vikings women's golf program. 

The golf program is back in action this weekend as they travel to participate in the Adirondack Invitational on Saturday, April 27 and host the Hudson Valley Invitational on Sunday, April 28 at Frear Park.
