Men's Bowling Placed Second at Westchester Shootout

The men's and women's bowling programs competed in the Westchester Shootout on Saturday morning in Fishkill, NY. 

As a team, the Vikings men's bowling program placed second for the third time in the last four matches as they tallied a combined score of 6,571. Kyle Fortin East Greenbush / Schalmont) and Jason Macey (Lansingburgh / LaSalle Institute) claimed second place in the doubles portion of the tournament as they recorded a final score of 1,249. 

In the singles competition, the men's program placed three individuals inside the top-15 and were led by Cody Genthner's (Troy / Lansingburgh) 613 pin score, which placed him in fifth overall. Macey came in 10th place with a score of 580 and Jordan Nichols (Saratoga Springs / Saratoga Springs) posted a scored of 572, which placed him in 13th place overall.

For the women's program, Jordan Thomas (Lake Katrine / Kingston) continued to bowl well for the Vikings. She knocked down a total of 544 pins in the single portion of the tournament, which landed her 16th place in the overall individual standings. 

The Vikings bowling teams are back in action on Friday, January 31 when they travel to compete in the second Mountain Valley Conference match, hosted by Mohawk Valley in Utica, NY.
