Bowling Concludes Winter Tournaments in Allentown, Pa.

The men's and women's bowling programs closed out their annual winter tournaments on Monday afternoon as the men's team finished 17th out of 30 teams at the Lehigh Valley Classic and the women's program placed 9th out of 10 programs at the Keystone Quaker Classic in Allentown, Pa. 

The men's program posted an overall team score of 7,936, which placed them in 17th place overall and first place among all junior college programs. Erie, Schenectady and Westchester all finished in the bottom of the standings. 

Leading the way for the men's program continues to be Anthony Hurlburt (Hoosick Falls / Hoosick Falls), who finished with a total score of 965. Hurlburt posted three games over 200, including a team-best 217 in the third game of the tournament. 

The women's bowling team finished ninth out of 10 programs and posted a final score of 5,314. Jordan Thomas (Lake Katrine / Kingston), was the most consistent bowler as she finished with a team-high 875. Gianna Weiss (East Greenbush/Columbia) posted a game-high score of 213 in the second game of the tournament as she finished with a total score of 728. 

The Vikings return to action on Saturday, Jan. 18 as they travel to Wappingers Falls, NY to compete in the Blue & Orange Invitational.
