The Hudson Valley Community College Vikings put up a tough fight but fell short in their quarterfinal matchup against #2 Herkimer.
Despite a dominant performance from Keyaton Parks, who led the team with 25 points and an impressive 21 rebounds, the Vikings struggled with efficiency, particularly from beyond the arc (15.4% on 4-of-26 shooting). Julius Reed was another standout for Hudson Valley, contributing 19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. James Blake added 13 points while making the most of his trips to the free-throw line (7-8 FT). Defensively, Rowan Swan led the charge on the boards with 11 rebounds and 4 steals, but turnovers (14 as a team) and shooting inefficiencies hindered their ability to capitalize on key possessions.
The Vikings end their season 13-14 and 6-8 in conference play.
