Bourgault Leads Men's Basketball to Sixth Straight Win

The Hudson Valley men's basketball team won their sixth straight game after defeating Fulton-Montgomery 81-63 on Thursday evening in Johnstown, NY. 

The game featured a close first half as they Vikings entered the break leading 36-30, marking the first time in the last three games they did not hold a 20-plus point advantage at the break. 

A strong second half led by Ryan Long and Brandon McKenly, who combined to score 18 points after the break, pulled away from the Raiders to claim their sixth straight win. Long finished with 16 points and McKenly totaled 13 points. 

Leading the way for the Vikings was freshman Luke Bourgault, who finished the game with a team-high 17 points. Bourgault hit five field goals in the first half, including a pair of three-point field goals for 13 of his 17 points. 

Hudson Valley returns home this Saturday, Feb. 9 when they welcome North Country to the McDonough Sports Complex at 3 p.m.
