Zach Price Leads Men's Basketball over Schenectady

The Hudson Valley men's basketball team won their third straight game after defeating Schenectady 88-55 on Saturday afternoon in the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College. 

The Vikings took a 45-26 lead into the halftime break, marking the second straight game Hudson Valley bolstered a 20-plus point lead into the break. The first half was highlighted by a half-dozen fast break dunks as the Vikings offense started to click on all cylinders against the Royals. 

Leading the way for the Vikings in the opening half was Zach Price, who hit three three-point field goals on his way to 13 first-half points. Daivel Jackson and Brandon McKenly combined to score 17 points, with Jackson garnering nine points and McKenly added eight points. Jackson finished the game with 11 points and McKenly posted a final tally of 12 points. 

Hudson Valley continued to play well in the second half as the Vikings were able to extend their lead over the Royals. Price continued to hit from behind the arc as he finished the game with 22 points, which included four three-point field goals. 

Hudson Valley is back home tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 2 as they host Kingsborough at the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College at noon.  The game will be live streamed via the HVCCVikings YouTube account.
