The Mountain Valley Conference (MVC) released its 2019 men's basketball All-Conference teams, as voted on by the head coaches. Sophomore's O'nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse) and Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) represents the Vikings as All-Conference selections.

Brooks, a Brooklyn, NY native, had a tremendous season for the Vikings men's basketball program this season. He averaged a double-double with 18.6 points and 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game this season. Brooks became the first Viking to average a double-double since Elijah Lott accomplished the feat when he averaged 18.8 points and 11.4 rebounds in 2016-17. O'nandi was named the NJCAA Region 3 player of the week twice on Nov. 14 and Dec. 11.

Canty, a Hudson, NY native, returned to the court stronger than ever after missing last season. He led the Vikings with 21.5 points, which ranks third among all NJCAA Region 3 competitors. He averaged 32.6 minutes a game and shot 48.3 percent from the floor. Canty strived at pushing the pace for the Vikings offensive attack each game and was instrumental in leading Hudson Valley to a 20-win season. Caleb was named the NJCAA Region 3 player of the week on Nov. 7 following his fast start to the 2018-19 season.

The men's basketball program will learn its postseason fate this Saturday evening following the conclusion of the NJCAA Region 3 basketball committee and seeding conference call. The Vikings are currently ranked seventh in the overall NJCAA Region 3 standings with a record of 16-7.
