The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (19-8) defeated Columbia-Greene Community College (6-20) 85-67 on Wednesday evening.
Hudson Valley led by only five points at the half and Columbia-Greene was able to keep it close, but the Vikings were too much down the stretch. Jordan Nelson (Troy/Troy) scored 23 of his 31 points in the second half, and Kleon Davis (Columbia/East Greenbush) scored 15 of his 19 in the second half as well, en route to an 18-point victory.
The men travel to Mohawk Valley on Saturday for a game at 3 p.m.
