Sophomore guard Garret Bishop (Saratoga Springs HS/Saratoga) was named to the all-tournament team at the recently completed NJCAA Division III National Tournament at Delhi. Bishop finished the tournament with 30 points and nine assists. The Vikings were well balanced in scoring in the tournament, as they were all season long. Hudson Valley finished the season 32-4, losing in the national semi-final game, 59-57, to eventual champion Richland Community College (Texas).
Head Coach Andre Cook was also named District I Division III Coach of the Year. Cook led the Vikings to their most successful post-season campaign in school history with a 32-4 overall record. Hudson Valley won the Mountain Valley Conference for the second straight year and the Region III title for only the second time in school history. Cook just completed his fifth year at the college and has an overall record of 119-40.
