Garret Bishop (Saratoga Springs HS/Saratoga), a sophomore on the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team, earned Region III Athlete of the Week accolades this past week.
On Monday, Garret was 8-8 from the three point line in the Vikings 94-73 win at Ulster, finishing the game with 28 points, four assists, three steals and three rebounds. On Thursday, Garret continued his impressive shooting connecting on his first three-three point shots. He finished the game with 18 points and five assists as the Vikings beat Schenectady at home 95-51. On Sunday, Garret had 10 points and had four assists as the Vikings finished the week 3-0, by defeating Tompkins Cortland Community College at home 88-70.
