Hudson Valley Community College (23-0), the No. 1 ranked team in the latest NJCAA Division III men's basketball poll, cruised to a 109-85 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College (13-6) this evening in Troy.
Four Hudson Valley players finished with at least 20 points in the game. Sophomore guard Emanuel Mayben (Troy/Troy High School) led the Vikings with 27 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) had 22 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore forward Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA) finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds and sophomore guard Ryne Luce (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) contributed 20 points. Sophomore forward Derick Faragon (Schenectady/Schenectady High School) chipped in 11 points.
Sophomore guard Carl Munnerlyn (Brooklyn/Canarsie High School) paced Fulton-Montgomery with 24 points.
Hudson Valley will return to action on Wednesday, February 6 when it hosts Clinton Community College at 7 p.m.
