Greg Polis

Greg Polis enters his first full-time season as the Offensive Coordinator, and his 3rd overall with the HVCC Football Program. In addition, he works with the QBs and WRs on offense. Prior to becoming Offensive Coordinator, Polis served as the Defensive Coordinator and DBs Coach from 2021-22, and then took over the offensive duties part-way through the 2022 season.  

Coach Polis received the 2022 Phil Brown Assistant Coach of the Year Award, presented to an assistant coach with a commitment to promoting the ideals set forth by the Athletics Department. His work on and off the field included leading major recruiting efforts, serving as an academic support facilitator for the football program, and volunteering for various athletics programs events.  

Prior to joining the HVCC football staff, Polis spent 8 years at New Utrecht HS in Brooklyn, NY. He spent 7 years serving as the Special Teams Coordinator, while coaching DEs and various position groups on offense. While at New Utrecht, he also served as an assistant coach for 2 years with the baseball program. 

Coach Polis holds a MS in Secondary Special Education (Touro University, 2017) and a BA in Political Science and Sociology (Univ. of Pittsburgh-Johnstown, 2006). Additionally, he is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society (2005), the National Scholars Honor Society (2007), and an ICF Certified Life Coach (2020). Polis also played LB at Saint Francis University (2001-03).
