Following a dominant road win at Buffalo State JV over the weekend, the Hudson Valley Community College football program jumped to No. 5 in the latest NJCAA Division III Football Poll, which was released by the NJCAA on Monday afternoon.
Hudson Valley (2-0) are off to a great start following wins over Thaddeus Stevens and Buffalo State JV.
The defense has been a primary reason to the early success as the team has allowed an average of four points per game and 106.5 total yards per game. The offense has been extremely efficient to start the season too, averaging 36.5 points per game with 349.5 yards of total offense.
Coach Don Jones has the Vikings off to a perfect 2-0 start for the third straight season and are set to host Montclair State JV this Friday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of HVCC.
