Fortnite (1v1): Aren Culligan
In order to receive points for the match, players must first finish in the top 10. Aren Culligan is the lone member of the Vikings esports program competing in the Fortnite tournament this semester. The tournament kicked off last week and will continue every Monday, featuring back-to-back matches beginning at 7:05 p.m.
Rocket League (3v3 – Best-of-7): Jake Cavert, Alex Chlud, Giovanni DellaPorta, Daniel Fortune
The Rocket League team moved up in the rankings and currently sit 5th overall in the NJCAAe tournament after they defeated Iowa Central, 4-0, in the best-of-seven match and improve to 5-0 on the season. Upcoming Match: The Vikings Rocket League team is scheduled to play the second-ranked program, Hawkeye Community College on Nov. 10.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Solo – Best-of-7): Mitchel Clow (Team 1), Nicholas Ely (Team 2)
Mitchel Clow (Team 1) dropped a tough seven-game match, 4-3, to Baxter B. from Wolfpack ESports last week. Clow is now ranked 45th in the overall standings this semester. Upcoming Match: Mitchel is scheduled to take on Joshua M. from Matador Esports on Nov. 10.
Nicholas Ely (Team 2) dropped his match, 4-0, to Gavin T. from Grays Harbor College last week. Upcoming Match: Nicholas is scheduled to take William B. from Finger Lakes Community College on Nov. 10.
Rainbow Six Siege (5v5): Abdul Rafeh, Karter Bailey, Kyle Coonrad, Amanda Estrella, Jalil Garibaldi, Aden Mugrace, Shane O'Hare
The Rainbow Six team is currently ranked 7th in the NJCAAe Rainbow Six Siege tournament this semester. The Vikings defeated Garden City, 2-0, in the best-of-three match. Upcoming Match: They are scheduled to play Dawson Community College this week.
Valorant (5v5): Angelo Hermo, Riley Drew-Cross, Matthew Kazanjian, Ryan Maser, Michael Yelle, Elena Williams, Sierra Yetto
The Vikings Valorant team is currently ranked 15th among all NJCAAe Valorant teams this semester. The Vikings dropped a close match, 13-11, to Nassau Community College last week. Upcoming Match: The Valorant team is off this week as they are scheduled for their bye week.
