Please be aware of the following New York State-mandated travel policies and quarantine requirements, which apply to individuals who are traveling to New York from international locations as well as several states within the U.S.

  • All individuals entering New York State after international travel are required to quarantine for 14 days upon their return. If you have traveled internationally, you must adhere to all New York State mandates as well as CDC Guidance for Returning from International Travel.
  • New York State has also implemented a 14-day mandatory quarantine for people traveling to New York from certain U.S. states that have a significant degree of community spread of COVID-19. Please refer to the New York State coronavirus website for an up-to-date list of states that are impacted by this travel advisory. As more states may be added, please continue to check that page regularly over the coming weeks.
  • All individuals who have traveled to or from these areas are required to complete the New York State Traveler Health Form upon arrival in New York and submit proof of completion of this form to Hudson Valley's Health Services office. A copy or screenshot of the completed online form can be sent to healthservice@hvcc.edu
  • All individuals who have traveled to or from these areas must follow the New York State Health Department COVID-19 Precautionary Quarantine Requirements for the full 14-day quarantine period.
  • No individuals will be permitted on campus for any reason before their 14-day quarantine period has passed. Before coming to campus, please review the guidance posted on the college's COVID-19 webpage, which includes important information on Hudson Valley's policies and protocols in response to COVID-19.

It is important to note that the quarantine requirement applies to any individual arriving in New York State from another country or from a state on the travel advisory list. This includes employees who have traveled internationally, employees residing in a state on the travel advisory list, and employees who have visited one of these states or international locations within 14 days of their arrival on campus. If you are required to be on campus for the first day of classes after traveling to or from these areas, you should plan to arrive in New York State by Sunday, August 16 to complete the quarantine prior to the first day of classes on Monday, August 31.

In addition to these quarantine requirements, please be aware that Hudson Valley currently requires all individuals arriving on campus to undergo a daily health screening process before being allowed access to campus.

Please do not report to campus if you have:

  • Knowingly been in close or proximate contact in the past 14 days with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who has or had symptoms of COVID-19;
  • Tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days;
  • Experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

Instead, please contact the college Health Services office at (518) 629-7468 or healthservice@hvcc.edu for further guidance before coming to campus.
