Record Number of Student-Athletes Earn National & Regional Academic Honors

Hudson Valley Community College student-athletes continue their streak with a record number of students earning academic recognition at the national and regional level for the fourth consecutive year. The Vikings had a record-breaking 36 student-athletes earn NJCAA Academic All-American honors and a new record of 45 student-athletes awarded Region 3 All-Academic status.

Hudson Valley placed 11 individuals on the NJCAA All-Academic First Team, which required an overall grade point average of 4.0. The Vikings women's soccer team had six student-athletes earn Academic All-American status, the most for any Hudson Valley program. 

The men's golf team qualified for NJCAA All-Academic Team honors as the Vikings top men's program with a 3.48 cumulative grade-point-average. The women's cross country program posted a 3.36 cumulative grade-point-average, best among all Vikings women's programs.
