Hudson Valley Community College Director of Athletics Justin Hoyt has named Anne Clobridge as the head coach of the College's women's tennis program. 

Anne, a former collegiate student-athlete, played soccer at Binghamton University from 1981-1986, during which time, the team achieved enough recognition to be granted varsity status for first time ever.  

After leaving college Anne learned to play tennis and mentored her two daughters as tennis players and fostered their development at the high school and college levell to become the No. 1 singles player for their respective teams. She has participated in club tennis over the last several years and has worked to master the necessary techniques and teaching tools needed to be a successful tennis athlete. 

"I am looking forward to coaching the Hudson Valley team and returning to the game of tennis as a mentor to young women who wish to achieve, said Clobridge.  "I believe that when athletics are paired with academic excellence a door is opened to a work/life balance that lasts a lifetime."

Recently, Clobridge took advantage of an opportunity to assist in coaching sessions with the Special Olympic athletes. 

Clobridge received her Bachelor's Degree from Binghamton University and has worked in Albany for NYSDOH for almost 20 years as a research scientist in infectious disease and supervised a nationally recognized public health laboratory.
